From time to time, there may be clients who require more detailed work or regular collaboration with other professionals involved in their care. I have extensive experience working as part of a Multidisciplinary Team (sometimes referred to as ‘MDT’) and am extremely capable of balancing the needs of my clients with the needs of the other professionals involved in their care.

Some clients may have very complex life situations and seek counselling when there is a range of other professionals involved with them. These can include (but not be limited to) paediatricians, private psychiatrists, solicitors, probation officers, social workers or other members of the local authority or health care staff.

Clients may also wish to use our relationship for support during court proceedings, invite me to work with them and their solicitor or present a report to the courts, in person or in writing.

Such scenarios and requests for work will always be assessed and considered on a case by case basis, however, a general outline of costs is as follows;

  • Administration Fee: £150 (includes: reading case documents prior to meeting client, liaison with named professionals to prepare for the case, drawing up bespoke Terms of Business, file set up)

  • Initial assessment / first meeting (90minutes): £150

  • Standard session (50minutes): £85

  • Court attendance: £85p/h + travel

  • Meeting attendance: £85p/h + travel

  • Report writing: £60p/h

  • Phone calls & Emails (incoming & outgoing): £7.80 Charged in groups of six minutes (0.1hr) & rounded to the nearest six minutes

(Note: Invoices for above services will be itemised and have been listed excluding VAT, further information on travel costs available on request)

“Adam has worked at a high level within the NHS, and in various private settings and as an independent practitioner running his own business. He has managed whole wards of adolescents, parents, adults and the staff caring for them, in inpatient settings, emergency teams and as outpatients in community based settings. Adam’s client groups have ranged from the acutely disturbed, aggressive, self-harming, self starving to mild anxiety problems, low moods etc. Adam is very accustomed to handling high levels of anxiety, difference of opinions and conflict in a variety of settings and at all times is able to manage and safeguard the interests of his clients whilst holding risk, differences of opinion, conflict and the anxiety of others. He has completed two years of Systemic Therapy training including hundreds of hours of clinical practice; central to this is the ability to remain neutral and respect and validate the feelings and views without necessarily respecting all behaviours. This experience is a great advantage when dealing and working with families, multiagency teams and organisational issues if required. I think Adam is a safe pair of hands.”
