It can also help you to connect with your feelings, turn intention into action, and make informed decisions about what matters most to you. Improve your life now with Expert Mentoring for Emotional Intelligence.

The Program

Based on heavily researched and evidenced-based interpersonal skills training which includes mindfulness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills strategies, the Expert Mentoring for Emotional Intelligence program is 8 sessions in length with the option of purchasing additional sessions once the program is completed.

You will focus on the skills to increase your awareness to support the development of your own emotional awareness and then build on skills and develop and explore strategies to support your relationships with others.

Duration & Scheduling

The program is based face-to-face online making the 8 sessions which last between 60-90 minutes per session, highly accessible. The program is heavily focused on skills-based coaching and will aim to cover two skills per session as well as time with your mentor to discuss progress. All sessions include resources and session materials to further support your rapid development in relation to emotional intelligence.

The program is best completed on a one-session-a-week basis but to be budget supportive can also be spread across 1 session a fortnight.

All prospective clients are offered a 30-minute free consultation call on Zoom to discuss if the program will fit their needs before any commitment. The program can be exited at any time.

What is Mentoring? & How is it different from Counselling?

Mentoring is when someone shares their knowledge, skills, and experience with another person to help them to progress in a given area. A mentor is someone who teaches or gives help and advice to a less experienced person. A mentor can influence the personal and professional growth of a mentee by imparting knowledge to them.

A mentoring relationship is very informal, meetings are in various settings, and can also be carried out online making mentoring highly flexible and accessible.

A counselling and psychotherapy relationship is much more formal by comparison. Sessions are typically in a counsellor’s office (though increasingly these can be also online), and the duration of a counselling relationship can differ significantly from that of a mentoring program.

The Benefits of Mentoring to You

Personalised guidance from an expert. A mentor has gained knowledge in each area and is able to share this knowledge with you. Methods can include coaching in particular subject areas, and sharing stories and anecdotes, resources, and items to support further reading between sessions.

Accelerated development

Your mentor may have the knowledge, skills, and experience to support you with meeting particular developmental milestones and can support you with monitoring your development in these areas.

More focused goals

By working with a mentor, you can get help setting short-term practical goals as well as longer-term goals. You can also try to match these goals with other aspects of your life where you may benefit such as within your workplace.

Increased motivation

A mentor can help motivate and inspire you. By using your mentor, you can be reminded of what you are aiming for. Your mentor’s personal support can give you more confidence and a willingness to try new things. Share your successes with your mentor so you can celebrate them together.
